Remanufacturing Process
Complete disassembly
Each compressor that is stripped down is taken through each & every process by the same engineer until the compressor is completed & ready for dispatch.
The compressor is given a unique work number which is stamped into the casting before any work is commenced, it is drained of oil and completely disassembled, photos can be taken for inspection reports.
Compliance
All components including screws and shafts are measured for wear & documented on the work sheet.
Component check
Components within the manufacturers specified tolerances are recycled & re-used, all other components that do not meet the standards are replaced.
Stator re-winding & testing
The stator windings are removed from the housing, the stator number identified with the compressors unique work sheet number and then sent to our electrical re-wind department for testing or re-wind.
Cleaning process
All cast components including compressor body, screws and end covers are subject to a specialised cleaning process.
Reassembly
The compressor is then re-assembled by the same pair of hands that started with the strip down process. Conformity checks are made at each stage of the assembly & recorded.
Initial testing procedure
Once assembled the compressor is bench tested electrically prior to being oil charged with the nominated oil of the customer.
Test centre
Every compressor is test run, amperage is recorded together with suction, discharge and oil pressures.
A final pump down completes the testing, after which the compressor is leak tested then dehydrated with a holding charge of oxygen free nitrogen.
Spray booth
After the compressor has been given a holding charge it is then spray-painted in the original manufacturer’s colours (unless otherwise specified)
Packing & dispatch
Following a final inspection, the finished compressor is entered into our database and housed as a stock item or sent to our dispatch department for onward shipping, tracking numbers are forwarded onto the customer so they know when to expect their compressor.
